The upholstery cleaning process involves pre-treatment and agitation (by hand), all stains are treated, surfaces sanitised, deodorised, rinsed and any excess left over from cleaning is extraction.
The process is designed to clean and revitalise your furniture while taking special care to preserve the integrity of delicate fabrics.
Our 5-step Upholstery cleaning process involves several stages designed to thoroughly clean, sanitise, and refresh your upholstery.
Pre-Treatment – A specially formulated cleaning solution is gently applied to the upholstery, this pre-treatment solution helps break down oils, dirt and contaminants, making them easier to remove.
Agitation – Using a soft-bristled brush or microfiber cloth the fabric is manually agitated in a circular motion. This process agitates the fibers, allowing the cleaning solution to penetrate deeply and lift dirt and debris. For delicate fabrics agitation must be gentle to avoid damage.
Stain Treatment – Specific stain removers are applied directly to any visible stains such as spills, ink marks, or pet stains. The solution is gently worked into the stain using a soft cloth or brush allowing it to dwell for a few minutes.
Sanitisation (EN1276) & Deodorisation – A sanitizing solution often with antimicrobial properties is applied to the fabric to kill germs and bacteria. Afterwards a deodorising agent is sprayed or applied to the fabric to neutralise any lingering odours.
Rinse Extraction – Using a clean cloth dampened with water upholstery is gently wiped down to remove any remaining cleaning solutions and loosened dirt. This step ensures that no cleaning residue is left behind which could otherwise attract more dirt over time.
