Our 5-step Carpet cleaning process involves several stages designed to thoroughly clean, sanitise, and refresh the carpet as follows:

The team at Sanical include the 5-stage process as standard, within the one-off cost, whereas many other carpet cleaning companies just do a basic shampoo and rinse and charge extra for pre-treatment, stain removal and sanitisation.

Pre-Treatment – Our specialised cleaning solution is applied to the carpet which breaks down soil, oils, and other contaminants, making it easier to remove. This prepares the carpet for deep cleaning by softening the dirt and allowing for better results in the later stages.

Agitation – A carpet rake or soft brushes are used to agitate the carpet, ensuring the cleaning solution penetrates deep into the fibers which loosens any dirt and debris stuck in the carpet.

Stain Treatment – Specific cleaning agents are applied to areas with heavy stains such as spills, pet accidents or other stubborn marks. The agent helps break stains down which might not come out during regular cleaning.

Sanitisation (EN1276) & Deodorisation – A disinfectant or antimicrobial agent is applied to the carpet to kill bacteria and other pathogens, this also neutralises odours leaving the carpet smelling fresh.

Rinse Extraction – A high-powered extraction machine is employed to remove water, dirt, and leaning agents from the carpet fibers, this is often referred to as “hot water extraction” or “steam cleaning.” The carpet is thoroughly cleaned, leaving no residue behind and any dampness will dry out typically within a few hours.
